While no one would tell you that fast food is the most nutritious choice, so almost no one would deny that we all give in sometimes.
Most fast food restaurants are NOT GF/CF, however, you can order items from most of them without buns or sauces.

Important note: Please remember to always talk to the MANAGER of all fast food restaurants to make sure that individual fryers are used for
cooking their french fries. Let them know how important this issue is to you and and child!

Notable nutritious exception: El Pollo Loco. Whole Chicken on the bone, Tomato Based Salsas,
and Pinto Beans
Also, if you are craving fries, In-N-Out Burger makes them right in front of you and uses a fryer for fries only, no breaded items or other food items.

When you enter a restaurant in Disney, always ask a Bus Person to get the Manager. Not a waiter or waitress.

Legoland

We had a most wonderful GFCF food experience at Legoland this weekend, that I wanted to share. We were eating at the Sports Cafe, located near the rollercoasters at Legoland. It is basically a burger and hot dog place, with a sports theme. The manager noticed that we had brought along Andrew's food and they reheated it for us. She asked if it was GFCF diet food, and was remarkably well versed in the "lingo" of the diet. She told me that "Granny's Apple Fries," sold at a stand in the knight's village area of the park, are GFCF and are cooked in a dedicated frier. We tried them and they were delicious. Made out of apples with a cornstarch, cinnamon and sugar coating. The dip that comes with them is not GFCF, however.

This wonderful Legoland employee was Kristina Trozzi, 760-918-5300, x896, and she also called the Legoland Executive Chef to come to the sports cafe and meet us. He was not as well versed in the diet, but told us that if we call his office next time we visit, he will arrange to have a gfcf hamburger patty, lettuce, tomatoes, condiments, etc. delivered to any eating establishment in the park we specify. JUST CALL AHEAD OF TIME! The Executive Chef is Paul Geasland, 760-918-5489. These people were really trying - went out of their way to be accomodating. We've never seen this level of effort anywhere except Skosh Monahan's - it was great!
